This course will include a rich array of experiential  exercises, both vocal and non-verbal. Learn story archetypes and creative artistic dynamics that help us more consciously welcome the ever-present soul and spirit weaving in all our human processes.  Explore the dynamics of skeletal and muscular development, breathing, brain and nervous function, immune system, digestive, sexual and endocrine  activities through the eyes of imagination. You will gain transformational  skill and new confidence  as a storyteller who  offers  supportive, healing medicine for child health and for adult personal and community development.

Story process can be very real and potent medicine. Complementary and allopathic medical disciplines, together with a rich variety of storytelling and story making techniques, will offer you ways of gaining a deeper knowledge of your intuitive wisdom.

Participants will take on individual projects related to their own personal and professional development. Whatever your chosen method of storytelling — be it through the caring professions, writing, visual art, music, dance, — practicing stories attuned to the body’s intelligence will give you an inspirational and refreshing sense of skillfulness,  joy and courage as you discover a broad variety of therapeutic insights and practical applications for storytelling.

The 21st Century invites us all to enhance our conscious ability to integrate body, mind, soul and spirit. Each meeting of this training will focus on the dynamics of stories that relate to specific organic patterning in body and soul.  Like different instruments in an orchestra, the heart, liver, kidneys, lungs~~all our organs play an important part in our total well-being. The exercises will engage archetypal story-lines and characters, giving you many opportunities to greatly increase your awareness, power of observation,
and to develop your storytelling skills and healing abilities.

Each of the eight sessions will focus on stories and two balancing organs, in accord with traditional Chinese medicine,

Session 1. Heart and Small Intestine

Session 2.  Liver and Gall Bladder

Session 3.  Lungs and Large Intestine

Session 4. Bladder and Kidneys
